August Theme–Food Magick

“A good cook is like a sorceress who dispenses happiness.” Elsa Schiaparelli

Brightest of Blessings, Everyone! I hope ya’ll had a great Lughnasadh or Lammas, depending on whichever you choose to call it. We have now officially entered the harvest season with the first of the three festivals. I hope you had much to be grateful for and that your harvest will only continue to grow abundant! 😊

This month I have chosen a theme that I thought worked quite well with a harvest season—drum roll please……..FOOD MAGICK! Who doesn’t love food? Honestly, I am such a foodie and can’t believe I’d never thought to do a post about this before. I have the next couple of weeks labelled with a different sort of food in which I will discuss various correspondences as well as some kitchen tips. I don’t know why but I’m really digging this theme as I’m bringing attention to the kitchen, to the nowadays hearth of the home, and with it still technically being the last days of summer with Leo still ruling the sun, it just feels warm and cozy yet dynamic and creative. Ah!!!!!

“If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.” J.R.R. Tolkien

Anyways, I will be posting on this blog until my new site is up and running. I’m planning to have it completely published and going by the 21st. I really want it to be how I want before I decide to publish it. You know what I’m saying? Until that time, you can still find my newer posts on this site and don’t forget I am also on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. I even can now be found on Sound Cloud though as of the 30th of July, I only had one file uploaded. It’s just a short introduction about who I am and how I came upon my path—if you feel so inclined to listen to it.

Also, I ask that you excuse my absence. I didn’t meant to take that long of a break but it was definitely needed as I slowly return back to my previously motivated and inspired self. We all get into those funks where it’s hard to shake it off. Life became hectic and before I knew it days had turned into weeks, and weeks into a month—whew!

Update and Themes for Jan. and 2017!

Good morning, everyone! I hope ya’ll had a very wonderful Yule/Winter Solstice, Christmas, Chanukkah, and New Year’s! (Regardless of what you celebrate, I just hope you had a FABULOUS one!) December is one of my favorite months-my most fav being October!-but it’s by far the busiest as we all rush to finish last minute tasks for the holidays! Mine was good though I managed to chip half of my front tooth away, leaving me looking like a four year old who lost a tooth! Hopefully I can get to the dentist to get that fixed. I’ve recently begun a full time job which is why I was incapable of writing a post for last Sunday. Yes, I know today isn’t Sunday either but this warms you up for my awesome next blog post! 😉

Though life has gotten busy, I enjoy it. I’d fallen into a bad rut the past several years and 2017 has already proven to be way busier. Bring it on! I am so relieved the new year is here and being a 1 in numerology–it’s all about new beginnings so let’s make it one hell of a year! We gonna slay! As part of this new beginning energy, I do plan on offering tarot readings around March or April so keep an eye out for a post on that one! If you follow my Card of the Day posts and have become aware there haven’t been any posts in quite some time–my phone broke and I’m working on returning to those in a different manner. Just hang tight. I haven’t forgotten! (Promise!)

With this being the new year, I chose a theme for 2017 which is Joy. I intend on bringing as much joy into my life as possible and keep that within my awareness. This means learning to say “no” to things I don’t want to do and stop people pleasing as that brings no sense of joy to my spirit. More time in nature and walking. More yoga. More healthy food. More schooling (yes, I’m a nerd). More painting. More Magick. More being me. Sounds good, right? It’s still the first week of 2017 so take some time to reflect on what your theme is going to be for 2017. Choose a word to sum it up. If you feel compelled to, share it below in the comments! I’d love to see what others plan on invoking this year!

Speaking of themes, you’ve noticed I’ve decided on having a theme each month for my blog. November was Gratitude and Magick, December was Christmas as a Pagan, and January’s theme is….drum roll, please…Simple Magick. That’s it. Bringing the magick back down to earth and making it more intention filled instead of prop filled. We tend to forget that simple acts of magick can be quite powerful as its the intention that’s important. The Focus. This theme will probably crop up more than once as I think it’s a very important topic to acknowledge but I promise you won’t grow bored! At least, not if I can help it. : )

I hope ya’ll had a wonderful holiday season! Let me know your theme for 2017 in the comments below and don’t forget: I’m open to questions! You can either leave them in the comment section below or email me.

Thanks, ya’ll!

Simple Tarot Spread for December

simple-3-5-card-spread-for-december2

Very Simple, Basic, and To The Point! Sometimes it’s better not over complicate something and if you wish for more clarity then you can always draw more cards. Use this as a basic blueprint (a skeleton, if you will) that you can flesh out and make your own! 🙂

I hope ya’ll have a wonderful December and don’t forget now is the time to reflect and release what you must so you can welcome in the new year, which according to numerology is 1–new beginnings. This means now is very crucial to do the necessary work!!!

Brighest of Blessings,

The Autumn Witch

P.S. I just noticed my O in the third card is off-centered and I apologize. I’ll leave this up until I can re-do the image!

November Theme

Good Morning, everyone! I hope ya’ll are having a good Wednesday morning so far. Mine has been great simply for the fact that I’m off today and therefore able to finally catch up on some of my long overdue to-dos. I’ve neglected so much this past week as my work schedule has been crazy!!! I still haven’t even really celebrated Samhain yet–which I’ll be doing tonight. The only thing I’d managed was to make some Sweet Skull Bread that I’d gotten from CharmingPixieFlora’s youtube channel a while back. My Goodness, ya’ll, that stuff is AMAZING! I’m in love! 🙂

Anyways, this month I wanted to try something new in regards to my blog, which you know I’m still in the process of updating. I thought this month I would designate a theme and go from there with it. Since we have Thanksgiving and Black Friday this month with Christmas soon to follow, this month’s theme would be De-Stressing with Magick. We all have a variety of ways we de-stress ourselves whether it be lavender oil, a hot, bubble bath or a soothing tea. These are only but a few ways in which we can allow ourselves a moment or two to ourselves to really calm and collect ourselves. I will be sharing some of my own personal techniques that I use for such situations (I worked at Walmart last year on Black Friday, so believe me, I totally had to find a way to de-stress and calm myself!). I recently shared a poll on my Twitter page as well as my Google +, if you would like to head on over to those pages and engage in my poll. 🙂

Brightest of Blessings,

The Autumn Witch
