Card of the Day-2 June 2017

Ace of Wands Reversed

One Step Forward, Two Steps Back…20170602_000146-1

Actually, no. This card’s meaning for today would be more like the Hokey Pokey–Put your left foot in…put your left foot out…There’s hesitation and a lack of movement forward. It’s as if once a new breakthrough occurs, a new opportunity, desire, or goal, we immediately backtrack. There’s the chance for progress yet we are too afraid of the change or unknown that we refuse to move. This is only wasting valuable fire energy, My Friends. We may have doubts, fears, worries about the situation. What if I’m not good enough?! Whatever the reason, something is hindering our progress and most likely it’s us. We are squandering our potential!

Check yourself. Clear out the bullshit you’ve been feeding yourself and learn what it is that keeps your from continuing forward. Change is a constant and while scary, it’s only once we leave our comfort zone that we begin to grow and transform as a person. Reassess your goals, dreams, values, and motivations. What drives you forward? What keeps you going? Why did you want to do whatever it was in the first place? Recall that reason and really feel it in your heart. Allow your reason to consume you. Understand that you may be complaining of a lack of growth, change, movement, etc. however, it’s already there. Evaluate whether subconsciously you are the one hindering yourself.

I know this is blunter than I would normally explain but this card really pulls a major punch for me right now. It’s shouting, “YOU ARE IN YOUR OWN WAY! IN THIS MOMENT, YOU ARE THE PROBLEM!” Sometimes we need that stern talking to and this is a similar case. Don’t let yourself be the reason you don’t move forward. Don’t take a step forward, only to withdraw back. This isn’t the Hokey Pokey, My Friends. You need to keep moving forward–at least right now.

Card of the Day-31 May 2017

Card of the Day (or should I say cards)
Full Moon (Completion) Reversed, 4 of pentacles, 8 of pentacles, king of swords reversed.

We are still working towards the manifestation of a goal, perhaps one formed during the New Moon and this card is telling us now is not the time to sit on our laurels. Instead we must now actively work towards bringing our desire into fruition. How? That’s what I IMG_20170531_083938_841asked before drawing the other 3 cards because direction may be needed.
We may finally be in a place of stability–even if but slightly–which makes this a good time to work towards your goal. Remain conservative of your time, money, and energy as they are your greatest assets presently. However, do not become stingy and possessive about money.
Diligent hard work and attention to detail is called upon now. This isn’t a goal that will appear magickally from nowhere. Instead you must roll up your sleeves and get to it.
However, we end with a warning and that is don’t become aggressive. Don’t force anything to happen. If we spend too much energy and effort without necessary breaks and pauses then we can easily burn out. When we force things to manifest we are actually working against them and in fact could cause it to take longer to appear-if at all.
We have plenty of work ahead of us that is the only way this goal will manifest. Now there is a change of stability and circumstance to allow for this to come into reality. However, don’t become possessive, aggressive, or force it. Let it organically come into being.

Card of the Day-29 May 2017

King of Wands

Today’s a day of focus and reflection, of honoring and remembering. In the United States we honor those heroic men and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice so that we may IMG_20170529_075821_400be free.
Today is nowadays spent with family at the beach or barbecue’s which is why we are being reminded to keep the true meaning of today in mind. I saw a news article yesterday that said Memorial Day has lost its meaning for most Americans. This card is asking that not to be case.

I give honor and thanks to those who have given their lives so that I and my family may be kept free.

Card of the Day-26 May 2017

The Magician Reversed with jumpers-2 of Wands and 6 of Chalices Reversed.

These cards give a very clear message: wait before moving forward!!! With just having celebrated the New Moon (I will be tomorrow), you may be ready to get your feet on the ground and manifest those intentions. However, we’re being told to hold our horses and chill for a bit. Allow those intentions to really set before we begin action. All because weIMG_20170526_005033_605 aren’t actively working towards them doesn’t mean we aren’t doing anything. Remember that!
The Magician is telling us things are not in our control at the moment. Wait. Don’t force it. 2 of Wands is all about looking to the future, reflection, and balancing our thoughts. The magician is balanced so this could be what must be controlled first. 6 of Chalices means that we are being drawn to look back at the past, at the old, but with a sense of detachment. We are being called to release. There may be something from the past you are still secretly clinging to which isn’t going to be conducive to manifestation.

I hope y’all had a great New Moon!

Card of the Day-21 May 2017

8 of Chalices Reversed

For whatever you reason, you may have found yourself switching directions in life, whether that be in residence, job, or lifestyle change. This was always as it was meant to be as we’re brought to certain points within our lives so that we may learn lessons and IMG_20170521_080448_717have experiences necessary to our journey in this lifetime. However, all because you are changing or about to make changes doesn’t mean everything must go. It’s like the old saying, “don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater”. What does this mean? Well, simply put, you needn’t throw everything away and completely begin anew. There are always good aspects within a negative situation—you just have to dig enough. I’ve been through some challenging times myself that most people won’t ever have to deal with and believe me, I know how daunting and challenging such a task may seem.

Movement and action aren’t the priority today in this aspect. Instead it’s about returning to your center—to your heart space—and reflecting honestly about your journey thus far, where you want to go, and what you would like to take with you. Some things are meant to stay with us. If they had a positive impact on our lives or bring us joy then why deny them simply because we think we should instead focus our attention and energy on a new course? It’s about mixing and melding the old and the new. The dual aspects of life—past and future. Take some time today to really reflect, journal, set your intentions then create a course of action and list of goals in order to manifest this desired life that allows you to continue with certain aspects of the past that you still resonate with as well as the expansive, potential filled future of your dreams. Craft your life well, my friends.

Card of the Day

3 Swords Reversed

Today the focus is on love and forgiveness. Love is the highest vibration and the frequency through which we connect to Spirit and the Divine more readily and with ease. It may be difficult, and you may have reason, but allow yourself to forgive others. When we hold grudges and anger we don’t leave much room for love to enter into our lives and hearts. Our vibrations lower. Instead forgive them. If you can’t do it for them then please, do it because you love yourself. As Buddha said, “Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned.” Life is full of ups and downs, highs and lows, pain and love, that we must learn to grow instead of remaining stagnant.

Wait, what does this have to do with love? Love is the vibration we should aspire to, radiating forth from our being and into this world that is in much need of it. This doesn’t mean that state of being is possible at every moment. We are human after all. This is where forgiveness comes in. As I said, we’re human which means we’re prone to fallacies, mistakes, and just plain old screw ups. Just as important as it is for us to apologize, we likewise need to forgive. Don’t forget: forgiveness isn’t forgetting. You can forgive someone and never trust them again. My pawpaw has this saying he picked up somewhere that I’ve heard countless times, “Love their soul but hate their ways.” We should love everyone but that doesn’t mean we have to like them. We’re all companions on the same journey, we’re all spirits having a human experience, and we all contain sparks of the Divine. By realizing we come from the same source but have different lessons to learn does make it easier to love everyone as your fellow brothers and sisters while not necessarily agreeing with them.

Forgive those who have wronged you so that you may heal and instead raise yourself to the pure vibration of love. Love everyone—even if you don’t like them. Share your love with the world. Do something that brightens up each day. Help others. You can still fight injustice with love in your heart. When we can radiate this unconditional love, life becomes a joyous celebration of all that is.

(I hope this makes sense. The words were just evading me this morning as I couldn’t find exactly how to articulate what it was the card was telling me.)

From the Rider-Waite Deck

Card of the Day
Queen of Wands Reversed

You may find difficulties in focusing your thoughts and attention today. There is just a rather spacey feeling and you don’t find yourself mentally grounded very well. This may stem from an outside source but before pointing fingers, take notice of yourself and ask if you may be the cause of it. Low self confidence may be the issue. Perhaps with these retrogrades you’ve began questioning so much about yourself and your beliefs that you almost feel like you don’t recognize or even know yourself.
Confront these issues and understand, if that was the case, that you aren’t a new and unknown person. You have only awakened to who your spirit always was. Find connection to yourself and your beliefs. Spend some time reflecting. Journaling may help. Know too that sometimes we do become so absorbed in our thoughts and worries that we forget to return to earth and ground. 😉

Brightest of Blessings,

The Autumn Witch
